Haiga, haiku and calligraphy books

Atelier Manda has published its three first books about haiga, inspired by the journeys of Matsuo Bashō and Taneda Santōka, famous traditional haiku writers. These books are bilingual, written in French an Japanese, including rōmaji transliteration.

Bashō, Carnets de voyage "Nozarashi Kikō"

In the composition, calligraphy and paintings, ink and colors dialogue well with Matsuo Bashō’s original esthetics. The répartition of the éléments  deals with the whitness of the paper as well as with the ink strokes, with well-balanced as well as with unbalanced subjects of the pictures.
